Science 10 Final Exam Study Suggestions

Science 10 Review Suggestions (Provincial Exam is Thursday Jan. 26 12:30 PM)

You will be tested on the following chapters:

Chemistry: Chapters 6 - 9
Ecosystems: Chapters 2 – 5
Radioactivity: Chapters 10 - 11
Plate Tectonics: Chapters 17 – 18
Motion: Chapters 12 – 13

To Do:
1. Read over the “Check Your Understanding” in each chapter. Make sure you can define all of the terms highlighted in bold type within each chapter plus the vocabulary words in the chapter or from the list I gave you. Check these with the glossary on page 565.

2. Make sure you can do the “Review Key Ideas and Vocabulary” at the end of each chapter.

3. Go over and correct any old tests, quizzes, reviews and worksheets that you were given throughout the year.

4. Come in and get extra help after school if you need it. Contact me at home 837-5813 or email grobinson@sd19.bc.ca to set up the best time - or drop in to room 131 next week. You are expected to be in class next Monday and Tuesday.

5. Get together with another student and quiz each other.

6. Check www.learnnowbc.ca for the online study guide. You’ll need your 9 digit pen from an old report card.

7. Go through the provincial exams and keys at http://www.bced.gov.bc.ca/exams/specs/grade10/science/welcome.htm
Go to student menu then past and sample exams and keys. Do not print these off at RSS as they are 40+ pages each.
